Information on your device

The launcher stores installation settings, Minecraft profile names and IDs, skin references, and selected preferences in its local application-data directory. Microsoft access and refresh credentials and configured API keys are stored in the operating system credential vault. Imported skins, game files, worlds, and game logs are also local. Removing an installation moves it to the launcher’s trash folder so worlds remain recoverable.

Microsoft sign-in

You authorize sign-in on Microsoft’s website. AR Client sends authentication requests to Microsoft, Xbox, and Minecraft Services to obtain your game profile and check access to Minecraft Java. The launcher does not ask for your Microsoft password.

Online services

Version checks, downloads, catalogs, skin changes, and updates connect to their relevant providers, including Microsoft/Mojang, Modrinth, Adoptium, modloader distribution services, and GitHub. CurseForge catalog requests use AR Client’s Vercel-hosted catalog service unless you save a personal key, which connects directly to CurseForge. The service forwards only supported public Minecraft catalog queries; it does not receive Microsoft tokens or account credentials. Content downloads use upstream download URLs. These services receive the requests needed for the feature and handle them under their own privacy policies.

Website

The website’s hosting and network providers process requests to serve and protect the site. Vercel serves this website and its public catalog service. Catalog query parameters, including search terms and selected versions, reach the service and CurseForge; public metadata responses may be cached. We do not add application request logging or an account database to the service. Hosting providers may retain security and operational logs, including network addresses. The page requests public release information from GitHub, which receives that request. We have not added advertising trackers, analytics scripts, or tracking cookies.

Telemetry and third-party mods

AR Client includes no advertising or analytics telemetry. Minecraft and third-party mods are separate software with their own behavior and privacy terms. If you send support logs or publish an issue, remove account credentials and personal information first.

Your choices

You can remove saved accounts and skins from the launcher, delete local data through your operating system, and revoke application access through your Microsoft account. Operating-system credential entries may need separate removal if you uninstall without first removing saved accounts. For data sent voluntarily to support, contact the address above.
